CDS Supports FedexFamilyHouse and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital Print E-mail
May 10, 2014 – Central Defense Security (CDS), a leading provider of business, retail and warehouse security, visited FedExFamilyHouse and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital to deliver Easter-themed treats to patient families and staff members in April.

“We’ve truly enjoyed our partnership with FedExFamilyHouse and Le Bonheur over the past 10 months, and have already begun planning the next initiative to show our appreciation of both facilities’ missions,” said Ken Moody, Community Relations Director for Central Defense Security.

On the morning of April 11th, CDS corporate employees Betsy Bauman, Chassity Pointer-Gibson, Jason King, Jerrica Love and Ken Moody met at FedExFamilyHouse to set up a cookie decorating station for patient families to enjoy throughout the day. The CDS team also provided an assortment of breakfast muffins for families to grab as they left the facility to see their loved one at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.

“When CDS volunteers, they not only bring and cook things to help the families during such a challenging time, but they are compassionate about doing it,” said Brittany Adams, Volunteer Coordinator at FedExFamilyHouse. “Every time CDS comes to FedExFamilyHouse, we know we are in store for something marvelous.”

Afterward, the CDS team made their way over to Le Bonheur to deliver treats and visit with patient families and hospital staff. Accompanied by Amy Ford, Special Events Coordinator for Child Life at Le Bonheur, CDS visited each of the hospital’s nine accessible floors to leave cookies, cupcakes and spring themed goodies in the family rooms and staff lounges for everyone to enjoy.
