Central Defense Security Launches Staffing Division Print E-mail
March 22, 2013 - Central Defense Security (CDS), a leading provider of business, retail and warehouse security, has expanded its operations to include a staffing division named Central Defense Staffing. The new division will initially fulfill temporary labor needs for the warehousing and logistics sectors, as well as provide staffing for administrative functions. In the coming months, CDS plans to expand the staffing side to include additional roles within the retail, medical, financial and government sectors.

“Adding a staffing component to our robust security service business is a natural extension of our current infrastructure and recruiting process,” said Larry Carroll, Chief Operating Officer at CDS. “Our team is uniquely qualified to oversee and manage a large-scale employee database and our hands-on management style extends naturally to staffing services as well. We’ll apply our existing recruitment process, including a full background investigation, drug screening and work history review, to ensure every staffing candidate is thoroughly vetted before ever joining our team.”

The staffing venture will be led under the existing partnership between Carroll and Craig Weiss, CEO of Central Defense Security. To fulfill the staffing needs of clients, the firm will leverage its ability to maintain a large, multi-talented employee base, while employing a customized interview process to ensure an individual meets a specific opportunity’s requirements.

The company’s existing employee base includes workers with experience in onsite project management, warehousing, distribution, machine operation, inventory management and picker/packer assignments.

“A significant cost-savings can be derived by using a temporary staffing solution,” said Weiss. “We understand the importance of fiscal responsibility in the current economic climate and look forward to working with clients to identify how we can best serve their needs.”
