CDS Partners with Hickory Hill Community Center to Support Memphis Families Print E-mail
December 2, 2013 – Central Defense Security (CDS), a leading provider of business, retail and warehouse security, once again donated five turkeys to Hickory Hill Community Center’s holiday effort to help ensure families in need had food for their Thanksgiving meal. In addition, several CDS corporate employees personally distributed the holiday food baskets to five local Memphis families.

“This is the second year that our team has supported Hickory Hill Community Center’s Thanksgiving effort as part of our ongoing partnership with the City of Memphis,” said Larry Carroll, Chief Operating Officer at Central Defense Security. “We’ve always enjoyed contributing to the community center’s efforts, but it was especially gratifying for members of our team to witness how our donation positively impacted the families who received the Thanksgiving baskets.”

During the event, Hickory Hill Community Center Director Margaret Fluckers and CDS employees Jerrica Love, Ken Moody and Chassity Pointer-Gibson gave baskets filled with groceries for the holidays to Jacinta Franklin and Aston Walker, Joyce Gladney, Dawn Hamilton, Brandy Howlett and May Neely. The baskets included the turkey from CDS, as well as vegetables, rolls, beverages, pie and other foods for the families to enjoy during the Thanksgiving holiday.
