Central Defense Security Hosts Movie For Le Bonheur Patients Print E-mail
September 25, 2013 – Central Defense Security (CDS), a leading provider of business, retail and warehouse security, recently hosted a movie and pizza event at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for patients to enjoy with their loved ones in the hospital’s Room of Magic. Opened in 1952, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital is a comprehensive, not-for-profit regional medical center that treats more than 130,000 children a year.

“Our team really enjoyed planning and hosting the event at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for patients and their families,” said Ken Moody, Community Relations Director at Central Defense Security. “Le Bonheur is a phenomenal medical facility that provides young patients and their loved ones the security of knowing that they are receiving the best medical treatment available. We felt honored to have the opportunity to help provide a bright spot in the day for these children.”

The CDS team arrived at the hospital with 16 pizzas from Memphis Pizza Café, an assortment of drinks and the recently released movie, “Escape to Planet Earth.” Patients and families came for the event at the hospital’s Room of Magic, which is a theatre that includes a 13-foot motorized screen and can accommodate intravenous equipment, wheelchairs and other special needs for patients.

During the event, patients and their loved ones came by the theatre to enjoy the pizza while they watched the animated film. After the event, CDS donated the film to Le Bonheur’s movie collection so future patients and their families can enjoy it.

Le Bonheur’s 10th Floor Logistics Specialist, also a parent of a patient, shared, “Events like the one Central Defense Security hosted are so important for stress relief and support for families. We are so appreciative of their efforts and time spent at Le Bonheur.”
