CDS Supports Hickory Hill Community Center's Holiday Efforts Print E-mail
December 10, 2012 – Central Defense Security (CDS), a leading provider of business, retail and warehouse security, donated several turkeys to the Hickory Hill Community Center for use in its holiday food baskets, which helped ensure that underprivileged families had food for Thanksgiving. In addition to the donation, several CDS employees were able to personally deliver some baskets to three local families in need.

“We were happy to contribute to Hickory Hill Community Center’s holiday effort,” said Larry Carroll, Chief Operating Officer at Central Defense Security. “I know it was extremely fulfilling for our employees to witness how much the food baskets mean to these families and served as a great reminder that we have a lot to be thankful for each and every day.”

After donating the turkeys to the Hickory Hill Community Center, the company decided to take its involvement one step further by hand-delivering baskets to three families. The week before Thanksgiving, six CDS employees were able to visit and deliver baskets to Dawn Hamilton, Moneka Mathena and Tiffany Jones. Each of the baskets included a turkey, vegetables, a pie and other foods for the families to enjoy during the holiday.

“We’re thankful for Central Defense Security’s contributions to our holiday food baskets and the time they invested in visiting the families we serve,” said Margaret Fluckers, Director of Hickory Hill Community Center. “Support from partners like CDS allow us to help even more people in our community and we’re appreciative of their continued assistance.”
