Central Defense Security Opens Amarillo Office Print E-mail

October 19, 2012 – Central Defense Security (CDS), a leading provider of business, retail and warehouse security, has expanded its Texas operations with the opening of an Amarillo office. From this, the company's second Texas-based location, CDS will initially provide asset, client and customer protection for a national retailer through a multi-year contract.

"We're thrilled by the business opportunities that exist for CDS in Texas," said Larry Carroll, Chief Operating Officer at CDS. "We invested a significant amount of time learning about the region before entering the market and have developed a strategic plan to ensure continued growth while maintaining the quality of our service model."

After four years of aggressive research, CDS entered the Texas market earlier this year with the opening of its Dallas/Fort Worth office in Arlington. Since opening, the company has continued to identify new business opportunities within its existing client base and is in the process of negotiating several contracts to provide security services in the region.

The expansion into Amarillo after Dallas/Fort Worth was part of the company's overall growth strategy, which was structured to ensure a seamless transition with anticipated resources already in place. Currently, the Amarillo office employs an account manager and 16 security guards, with plans to add additional management, administration and security staff as the business develops. Specifically, CDS will target third-party logistics firms, transportation and warehousing companies, medical facilities, sports and entertainment venues, and commercial properties.

"We continue to find that companies are severing ties with national security vendors in order to work with a more qualified and professional security partner," said Ron Kelly, Director of Operations at CDS. "CDS will continue to focus on providing superior service and value to our client partners as we expand our operations within Texas and beyond."
